On the next 20 Juny, 2018, the Universitat of València libraries will start to catalogue according to the RDA Normative (Resource Description & Access)

From 2013, the Library of Congress and other national libraries have adopted the RDA as a normative of bibliographic description.

The UV is aware of the current importance of data exchange and the need to adapt to international standards, which is why it has been decided to adopt the new guidelines during 2018.

In recent months, a working group has drafted the RDA Guidelines for UV and has prepared a selection of materials of interest.

Initially, the libraries of the Universitat de València will apply RDA to textual material (printed and electronic monographs) and in the coming months will also be extended to other types of material (audiovisuals, maps, old collection, journals, etc.).
