We present you a web page dedicated to the exhibitions that have been organized this year in the University of Valencia libraries.

The photo exhibitions 'Desired Landscapes' and on 'Medical writers, medical writers' held in spring are now joined by the exhibition in the Sala Duque de Calabria of the Historical Library 'Searching for the philosopher's stone: from myth to utopia' and two virtual exhibitions dedicated to celebrating the centenary of Miguel Delibes - from the Biblioteca d'Humanitats - and a selection of collections from Chemistry studies at the University of Valencia made by the Biblioteca de Ciències.

The Biblioteca d'Humanitats 'Joan Reglà' commemorates the centenary of the writer Miguel Delibes, whose interest does not wane over the years and who continues to shelter his readers in his shadow, ten years after his death.

With more than twenty novels and published stories, Delibes' literary production focused on describing rural Castilla and the urban middle class of the 20th century. Delibes wrote short stories, since he defended that this was one of the characteristics of the modern novel.

The Library has prepared a virtual exhibition where he collects his work, his studies and chronology, as well as an interesting vision of the writer through videos of his readers.

The Biblioteca de Ciències has published - in parallel to the physical exhibition of the Biblioteca Històrica 'Looking for the philosopher's stone: from myth to utopia' - a virtual selection of background to commemorate the one hundred and twenty-five years of Chemistry studies at the University of Valencia.

On the page you can find a sample of books and magazines representative of the teaching of chemistry in this period. Divided into four sections, which coincide with the Departments of the Faculty of Chemistry, plus one dedicated to general chemistry and another dedicated to Spanish magazines.

You can find the links to all these exhibitions on this website.
