Mónica Elisabeth Bauza De Auria, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Medicine, received this Thursday the award to participate in the satisfaction survey of the Library and Documentation Service among the students of the University of Valencia. The award, which consisted of an iPad, was presented by Antonio Ariño Villarroya, vice-rector for Culture and Sports, and Victoria García Esteve, director of the Library and Documentation Service.
The event was also attended by Carmen Dasi, Director of the Unitat de Qualitat, and other members of her Unitat, as well as some participants from the SBD Quality Committee.
Every year the Quality Committee of the Library and Documentation Service analyses and studies the results of the surveys and proposes specific improvements for each library and general improvements for the entire Service. This year the participation has been of 5,493 students who, following the positive trend in other years, have valued at 4.17 (on a scale of 1 to 5) the libraries of the University of Valencia. The two highest rated aspects have been help to find information and materials (4.32) and satisfaction with web services (4, 26).
As a novelty, he highlighted the face-to-face campaign carried out by SBD staff on the University campuses. The evaluation of this experience has been positive because, in addition to increasing the number of surveys, it has allowed direct contact especially among students and has provided more visibility to the libraries of the University of Valencia. In addition, the draw for the iPad also encouraged students to participate and left Mónica Elisabeth Bauza D’Auria, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Medicine, as the winner.
On the other hand, SBD teachers and staff also participated in the satisfaction survey, scoring the Service from 1 to 5. In which it respects teachers, they valued the libraries at 4.2, especially highlighting the attention and treatment of the staff of the library (4.2), intercampus loan services (4.61) and article service in PDF format (4.61). In the case of SBD staff, with 134 responses (4.22% month than last year), they valued the Library Service at 3.98. For both, SBD faculty and staff 10 sweatshirts were raffled.
