From the academic year 2003-2004, the University of Valencia has been doing an important effort to support educative innovation in university studies and, this way, contribute in the improvement of teaching in the context of European Higher Education Area. Calling for the academic year 2012-13 maintains the established programs on previous ones: DocenTIC, Finestra Oberta, DocInvest and OCW. Novelty is that is improves the educative innovation’s recognition process, by removing the concept of Group and giving the choice to expose innovative projects of duration superior to a year, apart from opening the doors to teaching quality projects set in the UV and that incorporate improvements. This way, it is an attempt to overcome a too rigid structure in its management, both for the realization and the management of the educative innovation and teaching quality projects, and it seeks a dynamics with a more flexible proceeding. Moreover, Educative Innovation and/or Teaching Quality Teams will be able to succeed towards Educative Innovation and/or Teaching Quality Nets if they have teaching staff from, at least, three universities and have as an aim a joint work in specific subjects or in the realization of some shared digital object.
Another novelty is that this time the application must be done through the website http://entreu.uv.es.

Academic year 2010-2011

From the academic year 2003-2004 the University of Valencia has been doing an important effort to support educative innovation in university studies and, this way, contribute in the improvement of teaching in the context of European Higher Education Area. Innovation calling of the academic year 2009/2010 had as aim to link educative innovation actions of the University of Valencia to the rest of strategic programs related to the Teaching Convergence and Quality, as well as to concentrate efforts in the educative innovation and to increase its spreading through open licences and the elaboration of materials. And, especially, it created and recognized stable groups linked to the educative innovation so, at the same time that cooperation, coordination and collaboration processes are encouraged, the educative innovation accreditation done is facilitated. 2010/2011 calling introduced some changes that tried to improve its management and it added a new subprogram, DocInvest, to support education innovation projects linked to the research projects’ results.

  • Docentic: with it, they attempt to encourage the elaboration of digital contents and to continue the lines in support of TIC in teaching.
  • Finestra oberta: with it, they want to select initiatives with transversal character or related to the assessment systems, or that facilitate means and resources to the students to integrate them in the University and university life.
  • DocInvest: it tries to give support teaching innovation projects linked to the research projects’ results.
  • Open Course Ware-UV: teaching materials that will integrate the open repository of the UV.

Resolution.

Academic year 2009-2010

During the academic year 2009-2010 the educative innovation process of the University of Valencia was structured in the following subprograms:

  • DocenTIC, directed to the open production of digital resources for teaching.
  • Open Course Ware, directed to select teaching materials of complete subjects from the current academic course offer for being placed in the OCW repository of the UV (www.uv.es/ocw)
  • Finestra oberta, directed to projects meant to favour the improvement of teaching and learning processes, without appearing in any of the other subprograms and demanding, mainly, institutional recognition.
  • ESTIC, directed to students (www.uv.es/~udie/estic0910) with its own and independent calling

In this calling the Pilot ECTS projects were left out by attending their residual character.

Academic year 2008-2009

Since the academic course 2008-09 the educative innovation process of the University of Valencia is structured through four specific subprograms:

  • DocenTIC
  • Integra
  • Pilot ECTS
  • Finestra oberta

his program, dependent of the Office of the Vice-Principal for European Convergence and Quality, has as aim to facilitate and stimulate the University teaching staff in the improvement of the teaching-learning processes, in the incorporation of the TIC to its teaching activity and the creation of multimedia educational products, as well as the integration of the students in the University and university life, among other projects.
