On 11, 12 and 13 November, the Career Forum of the Facultat d’Economia at the University of Valencia was held.
On 11 November, the directors of the Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing and Management Control were the chairs of one of the most established and impactful panel discussions within the framework of the Career Forum. This year, under the title “Atracción de Talento en Auditoría y Consultoría”, we had the honour of welcoming the following speakers:
- Salvador Torres, Partner at RSM and Secretary of the Board of the ICJCE in the Comunitat Valenciana.
- Jean Marc Toullec, Audit Director at DELOITTE.
- Carlos Clemente, Partner at PWC Spain – Audit.
- Rocío Rodríguez, Associate Director Talent Attraction and Acquisition at EY.
- Laura Pesudo, Senior Audit Manager at KPMG.
- Alejandro Herráiz, Partner at Luis Caruana y Asociados.
All of them represent leading firms in the fields of accounting, auditing and consulting services at different levels, and they helped students gain a more accurate and in-depth understanding of these professions. They also stressed that a solid knowledge in accounting is not only necessary but decisive for practising the profession appropriately and becoming a highly valued specialist in the business environment.
On 13 November, the day when companies set up their stands in the hall of the Facultat d’Economia, students were able to enjoy first-hand contact with all the participating organisations, which enabled them to resolve their questions and obtain detailed information on the opportunities available.
We are extremely grateful for the strong participation in the Forum from companies of the accounting and auditing sector. Their presence is a clear reflection of the great relevance of these areas of knowledge in today’s business environment.
