Rodrigo Oviedo

El Salvador

My name id Rodrigo Oviedo, I am from El Salvador and I am 25 years old. I have a degree in Communication Sciences by the Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado. Since the beginning of my university career I was so fascinated by audiovisual contents that I started watching tutorials of edition, speech and video production without having the appropriate equipment nor studying graphical design. I also took a course related with these topics and I started falling in love with the way of telling stories frame by frame.

I had my first audiovisual experiences in a national television (AGAPE TV Canal 8), where I started working as the cameraman of young sections, then I had the opportunity of creating stories with the art of edition where I participated in many projects, such as documentaries and series.

I worked in one of the best Advertising Agencies Companies of El Salvador, APEX BBDO, as a creator of content and creative developing my skills in the implementation of projects of a high audiovisual impact.

As a personal initiative I am member of the audiovisual proposals design team in social networks for a catholic account for young people named Dios Habla católico or DHcatólico. I am involved in projects of speech together with World Family Internacional and Radio María El Salvador, where I produce and participate as radio speaker of a young catholic programme titled La Onda de Jesús, with more than two years of emissions.

I decided to take my master’s degree studies at the Universidad de Valencia because I think it has the necessary tools to become a good professional of the audiovisual sector adapted to new technologies and trends. I obtain wide knowledges about new ways of communicating through images. I am constantly encouraged to create stories of interest  and with a wide commercial potential.

In the TAU (University of Valencia’s Audiovisual Workshop) the perfect environment to develop my skills with the best team and equipment to produce, make and publish an audiovisual product of a high level. In each module I learn the way of turning my creativity into material for many audiences.
