44 companies and institutions participate in the Employment Forum of the ETSE that offers 60 jobs

This edition of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum of the School of Engineering of the Universitat de València has had a business participation of 10% higher than the previous year. The participant companies, belonging to the fields of computer science, electronics, telematics, telecommunications, design and videogames, have presented an offer of 60 jobs.

This edition of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum of the School of Engineering of the Universitat de València has had a business participation of 10% higher than the previous year.  In addition, the participant companies, belonging to the fields of computer science, electronics, telematics, telecommunications, design and videogames, have presented an offer of 60 jobs.

The School of Engineering (ETSE) of the Universitat de València hosted yesterday 9th May the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum of the Universitat de València that reunite that has brought together a total of 44 companies in the sector. The main objective of the event is to promote the quality employment and to put in direct contact students and graduates of the Universitat de València who are looking for a job opportunity or an improvement of their situation with those responsible for HR.   

There are 60 vacancies that the companies and institutions participating in this edition of the Occupation Forum intend to occupy with the technical profiles of Industrial Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Multimedia Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Data Science, in addition to the university master's degrees in Environmental Engineering; Electronic Engineering; Telecommunication Engineering ; Bioinformatics; Chemical Engineering; Data Science; and Web Technologies, Cloud Computing and Mobile Applications.

The Principal of the Universitat de València,  Mª Vicenta Mestre, visited the forum accompanied by the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services, Adela Valero; the director of the ETSE, Paula Marzal; the director of UVJob, Marisa Quintanilla; the manager of ADEIT, Antonio Aracil; the manager of the PCUV, Fernando Mª Zárraga; the general coordinator of the area of Sustainable Economic Development of the City Council of Valencia, Julio Olmos; and the head of the Occupation and Entrepreneurship Service of the City of Valencia, Ana María González.

Mestre remarked that “activities such as the Occupation Forum are very important to approach and enable the access to labour market to students”. In addition, she emphasized that "it is a very good sign that this edition has grown 10% the participation of companies, thus increasing the occupational offer and noting that the Science and Engineering sector are expanding demand, increasingly, more professionals”.

The Forum has also counted with a conference programme in which the coordinator of the area of UVJob, Jesús Soret, who has participated and talked about the external practices as the key to labour insertion; the technician of Job Orientation of the UVJob, Isabel Gosálvez, who has dealt with issues of strategy and personal branding; and Marisa Quintanilla as the moderator of a round table that will reflect on the search for talent by companies.

Finally, the day ended with a networking space that facilitated the conversation between the students and those responsible for human resources of the companies to learn about the selection process of the new incorporations.
