This Thursday, 28th April, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum of the School of Engineering (ETSE) of the Universitat de València will be held with around 40 companies from leading sectors such as telecommunications, bioinformatics, data science or industrial engineering, among others.
Aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students of the ETSE and graduates of the branch, the event will bring together the academic and professional worlds through direct interaction with companies and organisations from the technological and industrial sector. Through the specific website of the ETSE Employment Forum you can access all the information about the participating organisations, practical tutorials in audiovisual format, job opportunities and the detailed programme of the event.
The day will open at 1 p.m. with the presentation of the Universitat de València services related to employability. Presented and moderated by ETSE professor Jesús Soret, it will be attended by Marisa Quintanilla, director of UVjob; the director of the Chair of Business Culture, Encarna Mazón; the head of International Relations of the UV, Carles Pomer; the director of UVpràctiques, Miguel Ángel Barberá; and Rafael Garcia, director of UVemprén.
In the afternoon, at 3.30 p.m., it will be the turn of the meetings with the professional associations. Divided into three thematic areas, students will be able to interact with the professional associations of Telecommunications - COITCV, Industrial Engineering - COGITI, and Computer and Data Science - Somos Digitales.
The Employment and Entrepreneurship Forums of the Universitat de València are organised by the Vice-principal for Employment and Entrepreneurship, through UVjob, in collaboration with the faculties and centres, and are part of the main line of work of the Vice-principal to encourage and promote the employability of university students.
For its part, UVjob's main objective is to collaborate in the employability of students and graduates of the Universitat de València, as well as being a mediator for new career opportunities. Its team has guidance and counselling services, trained in job search techniques and comprehensive training, and additionally has at the disposal of the university community the employment portal that provides access to multiple job offers in a directory with more than 3,500 registered organisations.
