Biomedical research is a significant element for human health as it allows to obtain new knowledge that will be used for the improvement of prevention and diagnosis of diseases; greater safety in the application of drugs and therapies and an improvement of the efficiency in the use of health resources. The Doctoral Studies Programme becomes a proper way to train new researchers in the field of Medicine, as a logical follow-up of the current studies of Degree in Medicine that will allow them to join the lines of research of the Departments of the faculty. Additionally, after a proper grading, graduates in Sciences and Health Sciences that wish to obtain the degree of doctor may access this master's degree.
