The CAPGEMINI Chair for Innovation in Software Development of the Universitat de València organises a workshop on testing and continuous integration of software; it will be carried out from 12:00 to 17:00 next Tuesday 11 December on the 2.4 classroom of the School of Engineering (ETSE-UV.) The lecturer is Alejo López, who is currently Senior Consultant at CAPGEMINI and has a professional career of more than 18 years.

This workshop will last four hours (two sessions of two hours each). The first one will be at 12 and will revolve around understanding what is continuous integration through software automated testing and how this process is carried out in CAPGEMINI. The second one will start at 15 and will be focused on carrying out practical work about those contents on the first session.

The contents that will be on the workshop are: introduction to testing, test type inspection, best practices, methodology and tools and last but not least, introduction to DevOps through continuous integration.

The CAPGEMINI Chair is aimed to do training, cultural, research and university extension activities such as lectures, conferences or internships focused to knowledge and innovations dissemination, agility and quality in software development. It also has the objective to establish a link through time that allows to train and prepare futures students for the working world.
