The Department of Commercial Searching and Methodology of Cajamar Cooperative Team has carried out the largest data analytic competition of Spain, the Cajamar University Hack 2019.

The SMART DATA INSIGHTS TEAM, formed by the students of the Master’s Degree in Data Science of the Universitat de València, Aitor Miota Requena, Juan Luis García Dus and Bernat Tomás Viadel, has won the Ernst & Young Branch Visualization Challenge.

This challenge consisted of creating an advanced search engine that included a recommendation engine based on the location of the person who wants to perform the operation, the moment in which he wants to perform it and the type of operation he wants to do. With this information, the search engine should recommend the office or the cashier of the Cajamar Cooperative Team or the cashier of another and financial entity that is most convenient to carry out the operation.

For this challenge as Data Partner, the Cajamar Cooperative Team has collaborated.

The Mongo team, formed by the students of the Master’s Degree in Data Science of the Universitat de València, Lucía Amalia Ribelles, Francisco Javier Aznar Palop and Miguel Amezua Villegas, has won the Minsait Real Estate Modeling Challenge.

This challenge consisted on knowing the number of times and the time that a user navigates through a web page is one of the key factors for the management of digital resources, as these are becoming the window where the world is informed and to get the predictive model helps to establish the reasons why a particular page is more visited than other.

For this challenge as Data Partner, Idealista and Haya Real Estate have collaborated.

It should be taken into consideration that these teams have competed with more than 120 works from different public universities and private teaching centres related to the subject of data analysis. The result obtained shows the excellent training given in the Master.
