The Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences hosts next Tuesday, April 12th, a seminar on equality plans in companies. The activity is aimed at first-year students of the Master's Degree in Human Resources Direction and Management.
The seminar aims to address, both from a theoretical and practical perspective, the negotiation of equality plans in companies, a fundamental tool for achieving equal treatment and opportunities between women and men within organizations. For this, we will have experts from the academic, trade union and business fields.
Elena García Testal, Professor at the Labour and Social Security Law Department of the Universitat de València, will give an introductory presentation on the legal framework of equality plans.
Following that, we will have three speakers who will share their experiences in the negotiation of these plans: Mar Vicent García, Secretary of the Women and Equality of FSC‐CCOO PV, will bring the trade union perspective; Mercedes Lopez Balaguer, a professor at the Labour Law and Social Security Department of the Universitat de València, will share with us her experience in providing technical advice to the negotiating parties; and Mª Ángeles Rico Albert, Director of Human Resources in COLORKER GROUP, will deliver the business vision.
