Professors Silvia Barona and Carlos Esplugues participate in the National University of Cajamarca (Peru) in the International Master Conference on "International Arbitration and Arbitration".
Dr. Dr. h.c. (mult) Silvia Barona Vilar, Professor of Procedural Law at the Universitat de València, Director of the Grupo de Excelencia MedArbValencia at the Universitat de València and lead investigator of the MINECO DER2016/74945-R and PROMETEO GVA 2018/111 Projects and professor Carlos Esplugues Mota, Professor of International Privat Law at the Universitat de València, Director of its Official Master in Law, Business and Justice and researcher in both projects have participated as guest speakers in the International Master Conference on "International Arbitration and Arbitration" held on 3 May 2019 at the National University of Cajamarca (Peru). Joining them, in the conference have also participated the professors of the National University of Cajamarca, the magistrates Juan Carlos Díaz Sánchez and Fernando Chávez Rosero, this last student of the 8th edition of the Master in Law, Business and Justice of the Universitat de València.
After the presentation of the event by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the UNC, Dr. Jorge Luis Salazar Soplapuco and the Head of the Academic Department, magistrate Mr. José Pedro Cerdán Urbina, the academic event took place with the lecture given by Dr. Jorge Luis Salazar Soplapuco and the Head of the Academic Department, Mr. José Pedro Cerdán Urbina. Barona on "ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) - from mediation to arbitration - and its integration in the new concept of efficient justice" and, subsequently, by the one dictated by Professor Esplugues on the topic "International commercial arbitration: an institution in continuous evolution". These interventions were followed by those of the magistrates Diaz Sanchez and Chavez Rosero, the latter focused on consumer arbitration.
After a lively debate, the event concluded with the awarding of the medal from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the National University of Cajamarca to Drs. Esplugues and Barona.
