ATTENDANCE WAIVER YEAR 2021-2022

Exceptionally, and given the mobility restrictions that may still exist in some countries as a result of the COVID_19, some official master’s degrees have considered it appropriate to apply the waiver of face-to-face attendance, for students admitted to the 2021-22 academic year who can prove that there are unexpected circumstances that prevent them from attending the teaching activities scheduled during the academic year.

  • Master’s Degree in Corporate Law. Commercial Consultancy, Labour Advisory and Tax Advice
  • Master’s Degree in Law and Gender Violence
  • Master’s Degree in Social Economics (Cooperatives and Non-profit Organisations)
  • Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering
  • Master's Degree in Advanced English Studies
  • Master's Degree in Ethics and Democracy
  • Master's Degree in Medical Physics
  • Master's Degree in Physiology
  • Master’s Degree in Gender and Equality Policies
  • Master’s Degree in Contemporary History

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR AN ATTENDANCE WAIVER

The students who, due to unexpected circumstances as a result of COVID-19, have mobility difficulties to attend the teaching activities scheduled for the next academic year 2021-2022 in any of the official master degrees’ studies listed in the previous section, may apply for an attendance waiver when they are notified of their admission to the master’s degree studies.

The deadlines for applying for an attendance waiver are as follows:

  • Ordinary Phase: from 9 to 31 July for students who have been accepted in the Ordinary Phase (including both the allocation of places on 9 July and the two exams on 21 and 27 July).
  • Extraordinary Phase: from 21 to 30 September for students who are accepted in the extraordinary phase.

Requirements for applying:

  • To have been admitted to one of the master’s degrees listed in the first section.
  • Proof of the circumstance of mobility restriction caused by COVID-19 that prevents the incorporation of face-to-face learning.

Other circumstances will not be taken into account.

The Master’s Academic Coordinating Committee will assess the applications received and decide whether or not to authorise dispensation and under what conditions. In addition, it will ensure that students who are excused from attendance can receive online the contents of the teaching guide for the 2021-22 academic year for each subject.

The resolution of applications for dispensation submitted during the ordinary phase will take place in September. The decision on applications submitted in the extraordinary phase will be made in October.
