Biographical outline:

Carlos París Amador was born in Bilbao in 1925.

After developing a long academic career, he got the Chair of Philosophy at the University of Santiago with 25 years. He passed through the University of Valencia and the Autonomous University of Madrid, being in this last where he created in 1968 the Department of Philosophy, which he directed until his retirement in 1992, and which was temporarily closed by the dictatorship.

When democracy was restored, he was elected Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
Carlos París gave lectures and gave seminars in various universities in Europe, Latin America and the United States and participated in numerous international and national conferences and in 1993 he was a visiting professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

He was President of the Scientific, Literary and Artistic Athenaeum of Madrid, Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Valencia, Professor Emeritus at the Autonomous University of Madrid and President of the Spanish Society of Philosophy.
