Biographical outline:

Vicent Andrés Estellés (Burjassot 1924 - Valencia 1993). Poet and reporter, one of the most relevant figures of the 20th century and of the poetry in Catalan. Considered the main reformist of the contemporary Valencian poetry, it has been said that he is the best Valencian poet since the age of Ausiàs March and Joan Roís de Corella.

Vicent Andrés Estellés has a diverse and very extense work. Even though poetry is the most known, he also wrote novels, drama, cinema scripts and some memories. The central topics of his work are death, sex, always from a popular, daily, simple, direct and, especially, vulgar perspective. All his work is difficult to catalogue because some of his works were re-ellaborated from books or private notes, as the Manuscrits de Burjassot (Burjassot's Manuscripts), Cançoner (Anthology), or Mural del País Valencià (Valencian Country's Mural), from which he just published passages or those poems he considered the most adequate.
