Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2002, he stands out for his extensive contribution to the development of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), applied to the three dimensional structure of biopolymers, proteins and DNA in particular, which his laboratory at the Technical University of Zurich (RTH) had led during the last twenty years.
