Full university professor of Civil Law of the University of Valencia and magistrate of the High Court Vicent L. Montés Penadés, died, 66 years old, the past August, 2009 in Ontinyent due to a cancer. Montés was nominated magistrate of the Civil Chamber of the High Court in 2005 by the turn of jurist of recognised prestige. 'Cum laudem’ Doctor by the University of Bologna (Italy) since 1969, he was full university professor of Civil Law in the universities of Oviedo, Murcia and Valencia. February 10 the Government of the autonomous community awarded him with a special honorific mention of the Justice Award 2008, in recognition of his "extensive and brilliant professional career".
