On Tuesday 24^th, the Universitat de València, under permission of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society, celebrates the third edition of the Seasonal University of Xàtiva as a result of the close collaboration with the City Council of Xàtiva, Caixa Popular and the Valencian Anti-fraud Agency.

This third edition of the Seasonal University of Xàtiva, a meeting point for teachers, professionals, students and citizens of the locality and its close surroundings, is framed in two topics that have an important implication for cultural tourism destinations, as in the case of Xàtiva. On the one hand, the topic on Sustainable Development Objectives, an initiative introduced by the UN whose goals have an implication for cultural tourism, will be addressed. On the other hand, another topical subject taking into account the current health status and its repercussions on tourism: the application of new virtual reality technologies in cultural tourism.

This event is a free initiative, open to the public and featuring professionals in tourism and new technologies coming from the Universitat de València and it aims to face directly and actively the nowadays and future challenges of cultural tourism in Xàtiva.

The Universitat de València, being loyal to its compromise with the territory and the local Valencian Society, promotes this academic action related to training, research and knowledge transfer already consolidated in the city of Xàtiva and its region.
