The opening ceremony will take place at the hall of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences on Friday 14. It will remain open until the 14 January, when it will start its route around Valencian municipalities. The 32 panels of the exhibition reveal the growing social, economic, and cultural importance of the running phenomenon in the Valencian Community.

The Universitat de València, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society, in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Sports of the Valencian Regional Government and Caixa Popular, presents the new exhibition ‘Territori valencià, territori runner’. The opening ceremony will take place at the hall of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences with the presence of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society, Jorge Hermosilla; the dean of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Salvador Llana; the director of Institutional Relations of Caixa Popular, Paco Alós; and the curator of the exhibition, professor Víctor Agulló.

Most of the 48 authors that have participated in this exhibition are teachers and researchers of the Universitat de València, but there are athletes, sports historians, coaches or journalists, all of them runner experts. Thanks to this numerous participation, the exhibition acquires a multidisciplinary and diverse character. This enables the running from a wide variety of perspectives such as health, physiology, quality of life, nutrition, injury prevention, psychology, etc.
