This year, the Winter University of Cofrents is holding its second edition, which will address the topic ‘Longevity and Well-Being in the Rural Environment. Quality of Life and Future.’ Cofrents resumes tomorrow the Seasonal Universities 2021 programme, an initiative of the UV which raises topics related to the uniqueness of each territory in open days for all citizens.

The Winter University of Cofrents (UNICO) resumes tomorrow, 25th March, the 2021 Seasonal Universities programme with an analytical session on the topic ‘Longevity and Well-Being in the Rural Environment. Quality of Life and Future'.

Sesonal Universities are an initiative of the UV, organised through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society together with the town councils of each town and in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Valencia and Caixa Popular group. It aims to promote debate on a monographic theme linked to the uniqueness of each geographical area, taking into account its particular idiosyncrasies, history and culture. It is coordinated by a subject specialist, thus strengthening the symbiosis between university, territory and society.

In 2021, these days, which are free and to open to citizens of all ages, will be linked back to the season they are named after, in a strange year due to the pandemic restrictions. In addition, they maintain the distribution by thematic areas, which reflects the cross-cutting nature of knowledge at the UV and the diversity of subjects studied by its specialists. They continue to be semi-face-to-face, which was boosted in 2020 with the incorporation of an online link through which sessions could be followed by streaming. This link helped to achieve an unprecedented success in terms of participation, as it made attendance easier for all interested persons.  As in 2020, the UV will facilitate registration through the website (http://projeccio.uv.es) and will provide the corresponding attendance certificate in both cases.
