17th International Week
From the 11th to the 15th of November, 2019, the 17th International Week of the University of Valencia will take place. During this week, the International Relations and Cooperation Service, with the collaboration of all the Faculties and Schools of the University, will announce to all students the exchange programs for foreign exchange stays in the course 2020-2021.
This initiative aims to promote that our students make a stay in Europe (Erasmus Estudis Program), in other continents (International Program) or in Spain (SICUE Program). It will also be informed about the Erasmus Programme for Placements.
All interested students are encouraged to enjoy the experience of an international stay and to participate in all activities and organized talks.

Erasmus Studies General Information for A/Y 2020-2021
Students receive a grant that can change its amount every year. Information on grants can be checked in our website. Among other goals, the new programme aims to improve the quality and to enhance the linguistic skills of students. To this end, a series of measures have been planned, such as online language courses for students or the option to take (non-binding) assessments tests before and after the Erasmus stays.
Requirements for participating in Erasmus Programmes
- Applicants must be nationals of one of the countries that participate in the Erasmus Programme (the European Union Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia). Nationals of third countries also can participate if they have a valid residence permit for living in Spain during the mobility period.
- Applicants must be enrolled on official undergraduate degrees studies of the UV, both when they submit the application form and during the stay in the host university.
- Applicants must have completed 42 credits in the corresponding curriculum, at the end of the academic year 2018/2019.
- Students who are beneficiaries of another mobility programme with the University of Valencia during the academic year 2020/2021 (SICUE or International Programme), excluding the Erasmus Programme for Work Placements.
- Students must accredit their language level and be accepted by the host institution. (See more information on the document: Linguistic Requirements for Erasmus Studies).
- Students and staff members may do the Erasmus programme more than once as long as they do not exceed 12 months in total. In the degrees of Pharmacy, Medicine and Dentistry, the maximum is 24 months per cycle.
Selection criteria
In the Erasmus Studies programme, the Mobility Committee for each School or Faculty ranks candidates according to some previously approved criteria, which can be checked here. Among other criteria relevant to each school or faculty, these will include the students' average grade for the academic year 2018-2019, their enrolment in Academic High-Performance Groups (ARA), and their participation in the Mentoring Programme for incoming international students.
Possible destinations and duration of the stay
Mobility periods will be granted in accordance with the duration of stay established in the bilateral agreement between the UV and the host university. These can be checked in the list of destinations for each degree in the Student Services Website: https://webges.uv.es/uvPortalUVWeb/. Students can do 1st semester, 2nd semester or full-year stays.

Each centre has a coordinator who promotes and encourages mobility. If there is no degree coordinator the centre coordinator will take her/his functions.

Language Support Erasmus+ year 2014-2015
Within the Erasmus + programme, students taking part in an Erasmus mobility action studies (Bachelor or Master) and Erasmus Placement must take language tests in the teaching language of the host university and, in some cases, they will be offered a course in such language.
For the 2014-2015 academic year, this is limited to students who will incorporate as from January 1st,2015 and in the following languages: English, French, German, Italian and Dutch.

General Information
The Erasmus study program has monthly financial aid for students. These grants are assistance to cover accommodation, meals and travel of students participating in the program. The scholarship does not cover expenses in its entirety. In addition, students are exempt from any academic fees. Regarding administrative or examination fees students should be treated like local students. The receiving institution will guarantee access to laboratory and library facilities on the mobility period.
Main financial support comes from the European Union. For the academic year 2019-2020, scholarship is stablished according to the country of the receiving institution. The scholarship is between 200 and 300 Euros per month. Former General Scholars Ministry during 2018-2019 get extra aid as much as 200 Euros per month.
Students with disabilities are advised to apply for special need grants.
The University of Valencia also allocates part of its budget to Erasmus grants. More specifically, it allocates funds to ensure that students that have a full year mobility receive extra funding.

Scholarships European Union-SEPIE
The European Union awards financial aid to students without specific application. The European Union grant is based on the standards of living within the host country and according to the following three groups:

The total amount of the grant will be proportional to the months and days of the stay actually completed. The maximum number of months that can be charged is 7 months in the case of annual stays or the number of months indicated in the appointment in the case of semester stays
The aid provided in the table above will increase in 200 € per month for beneficiaries of a general scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport in the a/y 2018-2019
The student receives automatically individual aid from the European Union just for being an Erasmus student. There is no need to submit any additional application

University of Valencia Erasmus grant for full academic year
In 2019-2020 full year students will receive the following aid:

Following the incorporation to the receiving institutions, students must provide a "Certificate of arrival" in order to receive their financial aid, given in one single payment.
Erasmus for mobility studies students will be provided with this help meaning no additional application will be requested.
Generalitat Valenciana Erasmus Scholarships
The Generalitat Valenciana has published in the DOGV on July 24th, 2019, the call for grants to complement scholarships for student mobility activities for studies of the Erasmus + program for student mobility of students In the 2019-2020 course.
Students should not submit any application. The universities are in charge of presenting a request with the relevant information of the students that fulfill the requirements of the call. Subsequently, the Ministry of Education will publish a resolution with the list of applicants that students must consult to verify that they are included.
To be a beneficiary, you must have administrative residence in a municipality of the Valencian Community.
Non-EU foreign students will have to prove the status of residents but will be excluded from being beneficiaries of those who are in a situation of stay or residence for studies. For this reason, all foreign non-EU students must send a scanned copy of their residence permit to the post erasmus.estudis@uv.es

General information
They are financial aid funded by the Bank of Santander for students and students who have an Erasmus mobility grant awarded for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Four types of scholarships
A scholarship of 3,200 for the student that has a general scholarship of the Ministry of Education in the course 2018-19 and has the best average note of record weighted in the course 2017-2018.
A scholarship of 3,200 for the student who has the best average note of a weighted file from among those who prove a recognized disability equal to or greater than 33%
One hundred (101) scholarships of 500 euros for students and students with the best weighted average student dossiers during the 2017-2018 academic year. It is preferable to enjoy a general grant from the Ministry of Education during the 2018-2019 course.
Fifty-two (152) scholarships of 150 euros for students and students with the best weighted average notes of the academic year 2017-2018. It is preferable to enjoy a general grant from the Ministry of Education during the 2018-2019 course.

You do not need to attach any documentation. Students who consider that they meet the disability requirement to opt for a scholarship of 3,200 euros, must download the data protection clause of the web page becas-santander.com and present it in the General Register of the University of Valencia with a general instance addressed to the International Relations Service.
The average mark of the weighted file is calculated as the difference between the average grade of the student's academic record and the average mark of their degree at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year. The average mark of the academic record of the student is published in the Erasmus call for studies for mobility in the 2019-2020 course "Complete list of applications with expression of the generic evaluation criteria (01/15/2019) "

International Double Degree Scholarship
They are aids to double international degree students who do not have scholarships Erasmus studies of the University of Valencia in the 2017-18 course.
The students who have been recognized a percentage of disability equal or superior to 33% can apply for special grants that replace the general support of the European Union. Additional aid can be requested based on actual expenses.
The student has to submit his/her application to the university Universitat de València, through IRO e-mail pagos.erasmus@uv.es or paper based through the General Registry (www.uv.es/registre). The relevant documents must be attached: responsible statement (page 6 at the application), certificate of disability and additional expenses budget if needed.

The scholarship does not cover expenses in its entirety. In addition, students are exempt from any academic fees. The receiving institution will guarantee access to laboratory and library facilities on the mobility period.
Main financial support comes from the European Union. For the academic year 2018-2019, scholarship is stablished according to the country of the receiving institution. The scholarship is between 200 and 300 Euros per month. Former General Scholars Ministry during 2017-2018 get extra aid as much as 200 Euros per month.
Students with disabilities are advised to apply for special needs grants.
The University of Valencia also allocates part of its budget to Erasmus grants. More specifically, it allocates funds to ensure that students that have their entire year abroad receive extra funding.

Students should not submit any application. The universities are in charge of presenting a request with the relevant information of the students that fulfill the requirements of the call. Subsequently, the Ministry of Education will publish a resolution with the list of applicants that students must consult to verify that they are included.
To be a beneficiary, you must have administrative residence in a municipality of the Valencian Community.
Non-EU foreign students will have to prove the status of residents but will be excluded from being beneficiaries of those who are in a situation of stay or residence for studies. For this reason, all foreign non-EU students must send a scanned copy of their residence permit to the post erasmus.estudis@uv.es

This scholarship is not available for the year 2018-2019.
The scholarship of the Bank of Santander is for the year 2019-2020.
We recommend the students that has applied for the Erasmus Studies mobility for the year 2019-2020 to apply to the scholarship Santander Erasmus through the platform becas-santander.com before February 28th , 2018
The students that want to opt to the scholarship in which values have recognised a percentage of disabled will have to signed and submit Through the Register of the university Universitat de Valencia the clause of Data Protection that can be obtained in the platform itself.

- Students with annual stays: 700 euros

Generalitat Valenciana Erasmus Scholarships
The Generalitat Valenciana has published in the DOCV num7831 of July 19, 2016, the call for aid to supplement scholarships for student mobility activity by studies of Erasmus + program in 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 courses. The student must not submit an application, as the University of Valencia directly manage.
The grant will be made by the Generalitat Valenciana and published in the DOCV within six months. The University of Valencia personally communicate the results to the beneficiaries.
Scholarships Santander International Double Degree
They are aids to double international degree students who do not have scholarships Erasmus studies of the University of Valencia in the 2016-17 course.
This scholarship replaces previous scholarships VLC / Campus double degree.
The students who have a recognized percentage of disability equal or superior to 33% can apply for special grants that replace the general support of the European Union. If the percentage of disability is equal or greater than 65% may also request additional aid.
The student has to submit his/her application to the university Universitat de València, through IRO e-mail pagos.erasmus@uv.es paper based through the Registre General (www.uv.es/registre). In addition , students are exempt from paying the host university any amount in respect of tuition fees or administrative exams or access to laboratories and libraries.
The most important aid students receive is coming from the European Union. For the academic year 2015-2016 the basic monthly amount of this grant is set depending on where it is mobility. The grant is between 200 and 300 euros per month and may be higher for some students -Becaris General of the Ministry during 2014-15. Disabled students must submit an application for especials needs.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has established a new form of scholarship " Erasmus.es " only for those students who meet certain requirements: have a B2 certificate in teaching language and have passed 60 credits among other ones. These grants have a higher amount of 100 euros in aid than the ones from EU and are incompatible with them .
The UV also allocates part of its budget for Erasmus. Specifically, the funds allocated to ensure that students have yearly mobilities receive extra funds.

Erasmus.es (MECD) grant
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has announced grants for mobility Erasmus.es during 2015-2016. These grants are incompatible with grants from the EU-SEPIE, you can only receive one of the two. It must be borne in mind that the grants Erasmus.es have a monthly 100 euros higher than the EU-SEPIE and pay a maximum of five months.

The three most important requirements are:
- Having awarded a mobility grant awarded for the academic year 2015-2016 Erasmsu
- Have completed at least 60 credits in the degree of mobility
- Have a certificate of knowledge of the language of instruction of the host university level B2 or higher. (Read the note below regarding languages)

Notice regarding languages
Although the procedure is the responsibility of the Ministry, the University of Valencia should report on whether the student has a mobility grant, has completed 60 credits and if he/she has a B2 or higher certificate.
In relation to certificates of B2 or higher, students and those students who present a certificate of language to call for Erasmus mobility grants do not have to resubmit it. The University of Valencia have officially informed certificate. Below you can check if your certificate was recognized and what level:

The student must have a certificate of B2 or higher in the teaching language at the host university but it does not appear recognized in these lists he or she must submitt a copy to be checked by the University of Valencia, adressed to the Servei de Relacions Internacionals through the General Register and accompanied by a copy of the receipt of the grant application Erasmus.es, before the 29th of May.
Universitat de València grant for full year mobilities
In the 2015-2016 academic year students who have a full year mobility will received a maximum of four months of the monthly amount as follows:

VLC Campus Grants -New-
This call offers scholarships for international mobility in the frame of the "Valencia Campus of Excellence" programme. They are aimed to double international degree students. They should have been awarded with a 6-month Erasmus Studies mobility grant for A/Y 2015-2016.
The list of suitable candidates will be elaborated by the International Relations Service. The candidates will received a notice about that. No application is needed.
Student with an officially recongized handicapped percentage more than 33% can ask for special grant. Should the percentage exceed the 65% they can also ask for an additional grant igual. Applications must be submitted to Servei de Relacions Internacionals de la Universitat de València.

Generalitat Valenciana Erasmus grants
Assignment resolution of additional aid call by Generalitat Valenciana to students who have a scholarship Erasmus studies during 2014-15. As soon as Universitat de València recived the money it will be transferred to the beneficiaries accounts.
The Generalitat Valenciana has published the call for additional aid to students who have a scholarship Erasmus studies during 2014-15 .
The student do not need to submit any application since it is the UV students who submit applications. Processing and awarding these grants corresponds to the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura i Esport.
It is expected that the aid will be resolved within three months. Notice of awarding resolution will be publishe in our website. The criteria for ranking the applications are the ones specified in the call, especially record average grade

Student with an officially recongized handicapped percentage more than 33% can ask for special grant. Should the percentage exceed the 65% they can also ask for an additional grant igual. Applications must be submitted to Servei de Relacions Internacionals de la Universitat de València.

Important: grant couldn't be paid unless the student follows carefully these instructions and submit the due documents at every step.
1. Before you go.

- Accept the 2019-2020 Erasmus Studies grant through the application Entreu. You have to entre in the procedure “Erasmus Studies 2019-2020 Acceptation” and fill in a simple application form. You will only need to include: the 24 digits (IBAN) of your bank account, (of which you have to be the holder) where you want to cash the grant, the teaching language in which you will receive the lessons in the host university and the personal data (also ID) of the person we have to contact with in case of emergency. When finishing the acceptance, you will receive a pdf document with the receipt of acceptance and another pdf document with the official appointment of the allocated Erasmus Studies place and, if appropriate, the certified of having passed some of the languages exams you took on 15 December 2018.
How to get the acceptance documents
- Formalise your Learning Agreement with the Mobility Academic Coordinator. You can find the list of academic coordinators at this link http://ir.uv.es/j3n0eh1. The contract contains the subjects list that you will carry out abroad and the recognition of subjects you will get in your degree. You have to fill in the Learning Agreement online through the Portal Serveis Estudiant. Once you have made your Learning Agreement’s proposal (preferably during the month of June), your academic coordinator will have to validate it (close it). Only if the studies contract is closed by your coordinator, you can print a copy (button “print”). Before going to your destination, you have to submit a copy of the Learning Agreement signed (scanned signatures are allowed) by the student, the academic coordinator of the Universitat de València and by the coordinator of your host university, together with the Grant Agreements (see below). You have to submit these documents at the International Relations Service based in the Palacio de Cerveró: Plaza Cisneros, nº 4, 46003 Valencia. (The students of the Burjassot Campus can submit it at the International Relations Office of that Campus). You need to develop the Learning Agreement (preferably in June) , and your academic coordinator must close it before 21st of July. Otherwise, you could not carry out the self-enrolment.

Indications of Learning Agreement
- Mobility Grant Agreement for Erasmus students (original) It is a document with the administrative and economic data of your grant. It is available in the month of June. We need the document with your original signature. You have to submit it on paper before you go, together with a copy of the Learning Agreement at the International Relations Service based in the Palacio de Cerveró: Plaza Cisneros, nº 4, 46003 Valencia. (The students of the Burjassot Campus can submit it at the International Relations Office of that Campus, Science Library ground floor)
- Online Linguistic Support (OLS). The students have to carry out a previous linguistic evaluation in the beginning of the stay. To that effect, they will receive an invitation to their email address from the university during the month of June. The result of this evaluation does not prevent in any case from enjoying the mobility stay. It is also independent from the accreditation tests organised by the Universitat de València the students may have taken to credit the knowledge of the language, in accordance with the call. The evaluation is made in the teaching language of the host university, in accordance with the indicated by the students when carrying out the acceptance of the grant through ENTREU. - Erasmus Studies Self-enrolment in international credits. Before you go you have to formalise your self-registration in the Universitat de València. Once carried out the Learning Agreement and after your academic coordinated has closed it, the international credits will appear on your self-registration. The self-registration will indicate the total amount of credits of the subjects of the Universitat de València you fulfilled in the Learning Agreement. Also, you can enrol in other subjects to take on the Universitat de València (specially on semester cases), respecting the number of maximum credits according to the enrolment regulations. You can self-enrol in accordance with your enrolment date, as it occurred in prior courses. It is expected that the self-enrolments are carried out through the Portal Serveis Estudiants before July 21st.
- Online Languages Courses (OLS). Once you have carried out the linguistic evaluation previous to the mobility, you will receive another invitation through mail to take an online languages course. It will be in the same language of the first evaluation. Although carrying out the course is not compulsory, it is a chance for improving your level on the teaching foreign language, without economic cost. Even though you start the language course before leaving, you can take it and finish it while you carry out your mobility stay. More information: http://erasmusplusols.eu
2. On your arrival to the host university .
- Certificate of Arrival. It is the first document you will receive when arriving to the host university. To send it to the International Relations Service, you have to enter at ENTREU and attach a copy of it within the procedure “Erasmus Studies 2019-2020 - Arrival”, the same procedure you used to carry out the acceptance of the grant. Save the original as proof. The processing of the first payment of the grants will be carry out following the order of reception of this document.
- Modification of the Learning Agreement. The modifications are only necessary if the subjects previously expected in the Learning Agreement change. You have to complete the proceeding through the Portal Serveis Estudiant so that the modifications are reflected on the record. It is necessary to request it once you are in your host university and within 5 weeks after the beginning of the classes. Once the modifications have been requested through the Portal Serveis Estudiants, your academic coordinator will have to close the contract so that you can have a printed copy (“print” button), where the modified subjects and the correspondence table will be shown. This document shall be signed by you, by your host Coordinator and your Mobility Coordinator in the Universitat de València (the signatures can be scanned). It is very important that you keep a signed copy of all the modifications that you make, as you will have to present them in the International Relations Service, when you come back, as it is shown below.

Important: We cannot deposit the first payment of the grant if a part of the above mentioned documentation is missing.
- Request for stay extension. The extension turns a first semester stay into a full academic year stay. It implies academic impacts but not economic impacts. That is to say, during the period that you extend (second semester), you will not receive financial support. Apart from presenting this form correctly completed on relaciones.internacionales@uv.es, it is necessary to modify the Learning Agreement within the abovementioned terms. In any case, it shall be requested one month before the ending of the stay as it was previously expected.
- Request to reduce your stay. We will only accept reduction requests received before 31 December 2019. Apart from presenting this form correctly completed on relaciones.internacionales@uv.es, it is necessary to modify the Learning Agreement within the abovementioned terms. 3. On your return to Valencia.
- Attendance Certificate. It is the last document that you will receive in the host University. It contains the starting date and the completion date of your stay and it is necessary to make the last payment of the grant. It must be submitted as a pdf files through the on line application ENTREU, procedure "Erasmus Studies 2019-2020 - Completion", along with the Learning Agreement. both documents should be uploaded in the same session. It is important that you keep the original as a receipt and that you take into account the instructions about the dates and correction prohibitions that are shown at the bottom and reverse.
- Initial Learning Agreement and, where appropriate, modifications to the initial Learning Agreement (Changes). Together with the certificate of stay, you will also have to attach the procedure “Erasmus Studies 2019-2020 - Completion” in ENTREU and a copy of the initial Learning Agreement and its modifications. Both the initial Learning Agreement and the modifications must be signed by you and the two mobility coordinators of your degree: the coordinator of the Universitat de València and the one from the university where you have carried out your Erasmus stay. (Scanned signatures are valid).
- Final Student Report (Questionary UE) It is an assessment questionnaire about your Erasmus stay. The report shall be completed online through the computer application provided by EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency), responsible for the Erasmus programme. You will no receive the invitation until your stay is over and you have presented the arrival certificate. Once you receive the invitation, which will be sent directly through the online control system of the Erasmus Programme (Mobility Tool) to the university email of the student. You will have to make the report in the specified deadline.
- Online Linguistic Support (final test). Around the middle of your last month you will receive an e-mail to remind you that you must fulfil your last language test. Students that got a C2 at inicial test don't need to do the final test. Get all the information at erasmusols.eu
Important: We cannot deposit the second payment of the grant if a part of the abovementioned documentation is missing. Also, you have to pass at least the 50% of international credits you have enrolled in the Universitat de València. The objective of the mobility programme is obtaining an academic achievement, so that is why you receive the grant. If you do not pass the 50% you have to reintegrate the amount received in compensation for the grant.
4. Other documents and recommendations.

- It is compulsory having health coverage. Get the European Health Insurance Card. If you go to a country where you are not covered by the European Health Insurance Card, you have to hire a private insurance following the established terms in the next section.
- In any case, we recommend you to hire a private insurance so that you can have bigger coverage during your stay. The Universitat de València is one of the Spanish universities that is part of OnCampus, company specialised on insurances for the university community. From this link you can hire the insurance online and print the receipt.
- Apply it in the closest Spanish Embassy or Consulate. Visit the web of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This application is compulsory.

- If you travel to Turkey you will need to obtain a visa before the Turkish embassy or consulate.
- If you are student of the Universitat de València with an accepted Erasmus Studies stay and you have also the nationality of a country that does not belong to the European Union, you will need a visa. Consult with the embassy of your country and with the embassy of the country you are travelling to. In any case, know that Directive (UE) 2016/801 by European Parliament and Council, issued on May 11th, 2016, compels the host country to facilitate you the proceedings.
- Ressignation. If you need to resign the grant, send this document to erasmus.estudis@uv.es
- Change Bank account form: If you need to change your account number, fill out this form and send it to the pagos.erasmus@uv.es address along with a copy of the book or similar document showing all 24 digits, from your university email.
- Authorization Leave a signed authorisation to a person you trust. You can carry out the proceedings before the University when you are abroad.
