Academic, scientific or professional interest:

The Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences aims to produce professionals in the sport and the physical recreation and health sectors. Competencies focus on training students to work in sports services, physical activities in nature, sports in schools, sports training and fitness, fitness and health programmes, people with disabilities, rehabilitation of motor functions after injuries, as well as in the field of sport management.

Worth Noting:

This degree offers 200 places each academic year (150 for Valencia and 50 for the Ontinyent university annex), with the student quota provided for under Royal Decree 1892/2008, of 14 November, which is set as follows:

  • Holders of other university degrees: 3% of all places available
  • Students with disabilities: 5%
  • Elite sportspeople: 10%
  • Over 25s: 3%
  • Over 40s: 1%
  • Over 45s: 1%

From the academic year 2015-2016 candidates won't need to pass physical aptitude tests and admission to the degree will depend solely on the marks obtained in the university entrance examinations (PAU). These studies are attached to the Social and Legal Sciences branch, and the subjects in upper secondary school education (batxillerat) with higher weighting are: Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, Geography, Foundations of art, Latin, History of Philosophy and Mathematics for the Social Sciences II.
