The course will be on 8, 15 and 22 February, from 16:00 to 19:00 and can be validated as one free-elective credit.
This course aims to present what is or what is meant by poeticity and how it has developed over time. Similarly, we will deal with its interpretation in the artistic sphere and we will explain the concept of visual or object poetry through the Dadaists, Futurists... For this, we will talk about the importance of writing in its abstraction, and we will explore language-writing through a sketch, a simulation, the world or what we would like it to be, that is, we would refer to the art of building dreams and imagine new worlds through literature.
We will talk about poetic tradition, of the influence and the symbiosis between art and literature.
During the course we will focus on artists like Cy Twombly, James Joyce, Mar Arza, Christopher Marlowe, John Keats, Anna Talens, Mallarmé, etc., and we will finish by highlighting, using different examples, that there is no separation between art and literature, that they rather intertwine as if it were a fabric.
