Special admission tests are not considered. In the event that requests of the degree exceed the maximum number of places offered, the selection criteria followed by the Doctoral Programme Academic Committee will be:
a) Degree to enter the Doctoral Programme: Up to 5 points. This section is graded as
follows:
i. To hold the Master’s Degree in Electrochemistry: Science and Technology or to hold the Diploma d’ Estudis Avançats (a tertiary education degree) in the Doctoral studies in Electrochemistry: Science and Technology regulated by the Royal Decree
778/1998: 5 points.
ii. To hold an EHEA Master’s Degree with a training equivalent to the Master’s Degree in Electrochemistry: Science and Technology. 5 points.
iii. To hold a degree which give access to the doctoral programme in areas of Chemistry, Engineering
or related fields including at least 16 ECTS credits and methodological training in research or
equivalent, and have completed the Master’s Degree Final Project or Degree Final Project, or equivalent of research nature: 3
points.
b) Academic record of the degree which give access to the Doctoral Programme: up to 1.5 points.
c) Academic results in subjects related to the Doctoral Programme: up to 2 points.
d) Professional Experience: up to 1.5 points.
The rating scale used for the entry process will be determined by the Doctoral Programme Academic Committee. These criteria shall be public and shall be posted in the official website of the doctoral
programme during the registration period. In the event of the admission would be rejected, the Doctoral Programme
Academic Committee will provide a report justifying their decision to the interested
party.
For students with special educational needs arising from disability, the
doctoral programme academic committee, on the basis of a report by the student support services
of the university where the students are enrolled may establish a specific training programme
for them. This adaptation may involve an increase of deadlines to meet the academic requirements
for the defence of the thesis and/or the recommendation of one or more areas of
Electrochemistry where the doctoral thesis work will be developed.
