Beach volleyball is played on sand, generally at the beach, although indoor tournaments in artificial fields are also popular.
Games are played in three sets, that is, the first to win two sets wins the game. Each set is played to 21 points with 2 lead points. The decisive set, if necessary, is played to 15 points with 2 lead points. Every 7-played points (or 5 in the third set), the players change field.
