Basketball 3x3 Championship

The Basketball 3X3 Championship of the UV is held at the Burjassot Campus.

A player can not play in more of one team of Basketball 3x3 of each of the modalities (male or mixed).

The winner team is proclaimed of the UV.

Teams registration (Information for the delegates)

(Self-enrolment guide)

In this course a new registration system has been implemented of the teams in internal competition (internal championship and Principal Trophy) integrated in the same environment that the rest of the activities, so, the payment of registration fees is made through the bank card by the registration platform. The registration of the team is done by the delegate who should be member of the UV community (he/she should have a valid UV email account). It is not necessary for the bank card to be owned by the same person who is registering for the activity.

There is a payment for the Internal Championship and another one for the Principal’s Trophy. Once the payment has been done, the place is blocked in favour of the person requesting it in the selected schedule.

Only registration fees are paid. The deposit is supressed.

The enrolment process is detailed on the following lines:

1. Check the timetable offered and choose the one that best suits you.

2. Access to the platform for self-enrolment in activities, courses and competitions by the Physical Education and Sports Service.

3. Select, within the self-enrolment entry, ‘user linked to the UV’.

4. ACCESS TO THE OFFER:

4.1. Select the campus where you want to play (and where the requested sport is offered). Note that the competition correspond to the UV but in the sports for greater popular participation ( Football 7-a-side and Male Indoor football) is played a preliminary round in the three campuses (Blasco Ibañez, Burjassot and Tarongers). The rest of the sports are played in one of the campuses. In each of the sports information you can find the place where the activity is carried out, so it is convenient for you to consult it before starting the enrolment process.

4.2. Select the type of activity (<competition>) and the first-four months in which the enrolment starts (<1> Internal Championship; <2> Principal’s Trophy).

4.3 Once the available offer is unfolded (if one schedule is full, the correspondent offer will not be visible) select the option in which you want to play and formalize your enrolment according to the instructions in the screen. In this moment, you will have to do the payment using your bank card.

5. Within the first 48 hours after formalizing the payment, you will receive an email with instructions to access your user account within the team management environment, from which you can register and cancel players during the season, within the established terms. Follow the application form instructions.

Players registration

In the offer you should select the campus and in which team you are going to play (remember you are not allowed to play the same sport in different campus), then select “Competitions” and “1” and you will access to the offer. Select the “Players offer...” corresponding to the sport in which you wish to participate and follow the registration process until completing it. Registration is free. Once the registration is done and after 48 hours, the delegate of your team will send you by email an application form for becoming part of the team. Once you have accepted the application form you will be automatically registered in the team. Remember that the e-mail address in which you will receive the request is the one assigned by the UV. For doubts with the registration you should go to the Office of the Secretary of Sports of your campus.

Competition system and groups

Male (composition)

In this competition will participate 14 teams, distributed in four groups of 7 teams each one. The minimum of teams per group is 4.

Game system
A league will be played, according to the number of teams registered,
The best classified of the group(s) will play a final phase of the campus, the game system of this phase depends on the number of players registered. This will determined in the meeting delegates.

Mixed (composition)

In this competition will participate 5 teams, distributed in four groups of 7 teams each one. The minimum of teams per group is 4.

Game system
A league will be played, according to the number of teams registered, setting a classification from 1 to 5.
The first 4 classified will play a final phase of the campus through the knock out system for the best of the three matches.

Basketball 3x3 Championship Rules

Rules of Team Sports Competitions

The Physical Education and Sports Service of the Universitat de València organises the university internal championships of the current academic year, within the university sports competition programme.
This competition will be ruled by current rules, by the disciplinary regulation and the competitions official regulation of the related federation of the Valencian Community or, if there is none, of the national federation.

1. Participants
It may participate in the internal competitions of the UV:
Those who belong to the UV[1] university community
Members of the academic centres attached to the UV.
2. Teams

2.1. Formation: Teams with the name of the degree, centre, department, service or hall of residence on which the they depend may be formed.
2.2. Composition:

Teams corresponding to a degree, centre, department or service of the UV. They are made up exclusively of players who are members of the university community of the UV.

Teams of halls of residence. It may participate in teams of this centres the resident students not belonging to the university community of the UV under the conditions established between the UV and each centre. In any case, the accreditation as resident student from the centre’s management office, and the Sports Card of the P.E. Service will be required.

Teams of academic centres attached to the Universitat de València. They may participate under particular conditions that will be established by the committee for each case, taking into account the features of the centre, upon request.

Participation of players for more that one team is not allowed.
Participation for more than one team different from the centre attached to the UV.

2.3. Number of players:

A minimum number of players for the team’s registration is not required. It can be completed afterwards.

2.4. Roster expansion
Since the start of the competition and until the next-to-last match of the regular season the roaster may be expanded until fulfil the maximum number of players permitted. Rosters may be expanded at least 48 hours in advance (two working days) to the first match in which these players participate.

3. Documents delivery before matches.
Ten minutes before the start of the match the team’s delegate will deliver the list of participants and an original identification certificate of all the players (photocopies are not valid) to the referee, in a place appropriate for formalizing the report. Other documents different from ID, driving license or passport are not acceptable. In the case of foreigners, other documents may be admitted at the discretion of the referee. In any case, these documents must prove the identification, must be included in the report and noticed to the opponent team’s delegate in case of they deem appropriate to make a complaint.

Once the participants are registered and the report is closed in its registration phase, the referee may add players come during the first half.

The delegate or the team captain may ask the referee for identifying an a player from the opponent team before the start, during the half time or at the end of it, before leaving the field of play.

The organization will check that the players meet the requirements for participating, so it will ask the teams for providing appropriate documentation for checking it. Not providing the appropriate documentation of all the team members will result in expulsion from the competition.

4. Schedules
The matches must start on time. Teams must be on the field of play, prepared to play, at the time scheduled. 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, if the match is not started the referee may adjourn it, indicating in the match report the reasons of the adjournment and circumstances involved.

5. Delegate.
The team’s delegates will be the representatives of the team before the organization of the competition and will be the only interlocutors of the team to speak to the organization out of the field of play.
The duties and responsibilities of the delegate are as follows:

Registering and unsubscribing players, making appeals and allegations before the Competition Board, attend at and participate in technical meetings, and overall, any action related to their team’s participation in the competition.
Identifying themselves to the referee before the start of the match and provide players’ documentation.
Ensuring the players’ appropriate behaviour before and after the match.
Collaborating with the organization regarding the best use of the facilities and dressing rooms by the team members.

6. Captain
The team captain (it may be the delegates themselves if they are players of the team) is the only representative in the field of play.

The duties and responsibilities of the captain are as follows:
Ensuring the players’ sporting spirit and good manners at all times.
Enforcing the referee’s instructions and collaborating with him/her during the match.
Signing the match report before the start.

7. Uniform
Player’s uniform will be adhered to what is determined in the regulations of each modality and it will be made up of, at least, numbered T-shirts of the same colour.
If there are any coincidences between different team uniforms, the second team appearing in the fixture schedule must change its uniform.

8. Game ball
Each team must hand in the referee a ball in good condition and meeting the approval requirements of that sport. The referee will choose the ball he judge more appropriate for the game. The other ball will be available during the match in case of being required.

If one team provides a ball which does not meet the requirements, the referee will include it in the game report.

If a match could not be played because of there is no ball, this match will be cancelled.[2]

9. Competition system:

9.1. Internal Championship
The internal championship of each campus is made up of two phases:

Round-robin phase. The competition will be framed in the single or multiple round-robin system, by taking into account the number of teams, facilities availability and dates. In those sports in which the number of people registered allow it, it will be created groups according to the teams’ preference for the days to play.

Playoffs. Each campus will host a playoff series, that will determine the campus winning team.

The minimum number of teams to hold a competition of a particular type of sport and category will be four.

10. League table
The league table is established according to the specific rules of each sport depending on the regulations of the Valencian Community federation.

11. Adjournments
In competitions consisting of round-robin systems of 8 or more fixtures, teams may adjourn one match without reaching an agreement with the opposing team and other one by mutual agreement under the following conditions:

a) The notification of adjournment without agreement with the opposing team will have to be done in the way that the organization established for the competition with a minimum of seven working days in advance of the date of the match.
b) The team that does not request the adjournment shall have the right to set the date and time of the new match based on the availability of the facility.
c) The request for adjournment by mutual agreement between the two teams will have to be done in the way that the organization established for the competition with a minimum of two working days to the day of the match.
d) In the last two fixtures of the league matches cannot be adjourned. All adjourned matches must be played before the last league fixture.
e) Established the new date for a adjourned match, it can not be adjourned again.
f) In competitions consisting of round-robin system of less than 8 fixtures each team may only adjourn a match per any of the two systems above mentioned.
g) Competitions by knockout system will be at the discretion of the organization’s decision to allow or not adjournments depending on the availability of dates. This point will be reflected in the specific rules of the competition.

12. Accident insurance
All participants (including delegates) in team competitions will have to be covered by any of the following insurance: Student Insurance, Social Security or private accident insurance and injuries caused as a result of their participation in the competition, training or sports practice at university facilities.

Participants are required to submit the documentation proving that they have adequate coverage.
