Healthy and adapted physical activity for people with severe disabilities.

The origin goes back to a line of coordinated research by the professor Gabriel Brizuela, guided to the adaptation of activities and sport equipment for people with great motor affection (tetraplegies, high paraplegies, cerebral paralysis, ataxias…) and to the study of the exercise effect on participants' health.

Due to the impressive results achieved, an activity offered to all the group of disabled people has been added to the original research project; in particular, it is offered cardiovascular arm exercise (manual pedalling with static bicycle), muscle strengthening exercises and different healthy physical activities, all of which are result of the rsearch carried out.

The activity is realized in Gym (Room Musculació), located on the ground floor in the building of Sport and Physical Education Service, in Tarongers campus, schedule: on Monday morning, from 12:00 to 13:30 and on Friday, from 15:30 to 17:00 h.
