The Universitat de València has finished the sports year with an excellent result in the Spanish University championships (CEU). The institution has participated in a total of 37 championships, in which our sportsmen have obtained 62 medals: 17 gold medals, 24 silver medals and 21 bronze medals that will raise the University among the first positions in university national ranking.

The men’s rugby team stands out. They have won the Spanish gold medal and therefore have consolidated the first position that they had previously got in the regional championships. The women’s teams of rugby, volleyball and handball should be outlined as well. They won the silver medal after achieving the gold one at CADU. The men’s football team and the women’s basketball team have got the bronze medal.

In individual sports, the UV team was proclaimed champion of Spain in climbing, equestrianism and judo; and was runner-up in cross country running, swimming and padel.

The Universitat de València has obtained a total of 62 medals in the Championships of Spain. These results are due to the promotion of sports that the academic institution has made in the last years.
