The Sports Schools of the Universitat de València for the academic year 2017/18 start from the day 2nd October. It is an activity organised by the Physical Education and Sports Service (SEFUV) and it is addressed to all the university community as well as the external users that request the sporting card. The main characteristic of the Sports School is that they offer the possibility of playing any group or individual sport.

The Sports Schools develop their activity in two four-month periods: the first one is from 2nd October to 31st January and the second one from 1st February to 31st May.

There are fun activities for those who wish to play and enjoy a sport that, in many cases, already know or that they want to discover.

In the Sports Schools there are two training sessions per week for the team sports and even though at the end of the semester there will be no competition, there will be a sports event in the training session’s timetable.

The team sports’ offer is a mixed activity that stands out due to the well reception among the university community and the external users since the average participation is about 90.

The SEFUV affirms that ‘it is an excellent way of discovering and playing a sport, with high level trainers but always adapting it to the groups’.

The Blasco Ibañez and Tarongers campus will host the basketball and volleyball schools; the rest of them (beach volley, football, rugby and futsal) will be located in the SEFUV facilities.

On the other hand, the individual offered sports are sailing, athletics, triathlon, table tennis, badminton, fencing and climb. This sports will be played at the SEFUV facilities and around, except from sailing that will take place at Marina Real.
