OBJECTIVES: On the one hand, the aim is to carry out coordinated work between a group of secondary school and university teachers. On the other hand, the aim is to motivate secondary school students towards experimental work and engineering, introducing the methods and techniques of industrial electronics and telecommunications engineering, both in its electronic and telematic aspects.
CONTENT:
ROBOTICS WORKSHOP WITH LLEC MINDSTORMS
The realisation of educational robotics projects facilitates the acquisition of important skills and competences through the configuration, programming and testing of robots. This workshop uses a robot from Llec, the Mindstorms EV3, whose mechanical, control and environmental recognition characteristics are presented, and its behaviour and actions are programmed in a playful and participatory way, both from a PC and from mobile devices.
SOLAR-THERMAL-PHOTOVOLTAIC RENEWABLE ENERGIES WORKSHOP
This workshop aims to introduce students to the field of renewable energies, specifically solar thermal and solar photovoltaic energy.
WORKSHOP ON IP TELEPHONY (IP VOICE) ON THE INTERNET, JUST ANOTHER SERVICE
In this workshop, we will go through the functioning of the Internet, the equipment that makes it up (routers and switches), analyse the keys to its success and observe the development of new services such as IP VOICE or IP Telephony, using its resources and potential. The students experiment with this network and evaluate its performance in order to understand how it works in a practical way. Finally, a complete IP telephony system is deployed, initially with a simulator and then with a real model, as an example of use for a company that wants to reduce the costs of telephone calls.
PARTICIPANTS: Students of technology and science in the 1st and 2nd years of the Baccalaureate and Higher Vocational Training.
