If you want to enjoy of a period of exchange in our Faculty you must check with your home university if it exists a bilateral agreement and follow its guidelines.
Your University must send your nomination to the International Relations and Cooperation Service from the University of Valencia, main service in matter of mobility of the University of Valencia.
- Before the 30 May if the student starts in September.
- Before the 31 October if the student starts in February.
Once the nomination has been received, the International Relations and Cooperation Service from the University of Valencia will contact by email with the accepted students, who will have to fill in the online application form within 30 days after the reception of the email.
From the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy we will contact with the admitted students, at the Degree in Psychology or at the Degree in Speech Therapy, and we will demand them some information to carry out their pre-registration. When?
- At the beginning of July if the students starts in September.
- At the beginning of December if the students starts in February.
In addition, at the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy of the University of Valencia we have a mentor or buddy programme. They are students of the University that will welcome you and will help you in your admission and day-to-day.
The week before lessons start the student must attend to the Welcome Days organized by the International Relations and Cooperation Service as well as to the one organized by the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy.

The academic year at the University of Valencia, comprises from September to August (in August the University of Valencia is closed). It divides into 2 semesters:
-First semester (autumn). Covers from September to January. Being the first call examinations during the month of January, and the second call during the second half of June and the first week of July.
-Second semester (spring). Covers from late January to June/July. Being first call examinations during the second half of May and first week of June, and the second call during the second half of June and the first week of July.

Important: If you are a student who comes for one semester, we recommend that you carefully look our academic calendar, since it may be incompatible with your home university academic calendar. Please keep in mind that tests out of our periods of examination cannot be made unless the professor authorizes it; and these authorizations occur only very rarely. Once you arrive to the University of Valencia, if you want to modify your stay, either expand or reduce it, you must submit the documentation at the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, or send it to interpsi@uv.es, before 30 December.
- Extending your stay. The student must apply, and must obtain the authorization of both coordinators of mobility, from his university and from the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy. All this before 30 December.
- Reducing your stay. Student must have the authorization of the reduction, by the Mobility Coordinator of his university, before 30 December.
