Language of the courses

The main language in which the subjects of the Degree in Psychology are taught is Spanish, and the second language is Valencian. In addition, most of the subjects are also taught in English.

At the Degree in Speech Therapy, some subjects are taught in Spanish and others in Valencian. There is no offer in English.

You do not need to send any official certificate of language.

Dissertation and placements

Dissertation or “Trabajo fin de grado” (TFG). Incoming students can do the TFG in the University of Valencia. Selection is carried out in October, for it the student must send a copy of his Transcript of Records where the average academic record appears. There is no guarantee that the language of the dissertation will be English. It can only be done in full year stays.

Placements or “practicum”. Incoming students can do placements at arranged centers. It cannot be in English, so we recommend a B2 level of Spanish. In addition, they must pass an interview with our Mobility Coordinator. According to the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy policy, exchange students may choose between the remaining offer once registered and once they report to the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy. *UPDATE: Due to the current exceptional situation by COVID-19, it is not possible to guarantee the realization of the Practicum*

- Prácticum at the Degree in Psychology. Consists of 12 credits, which imply: 288 hours face-to-face, 36 hours for preparation and follow-up practices and 36 hours for the preparation of the memory and others evaluation activities. It can be done in a full year stay or in a half-year stay.

- Prácticum at the Degree of Speech Therapy. Consists of 24 credits, which imply: 504 hours face-to-face, 144 hours for preparation and follow-up practices and 72 hours for the development of memory and others evaluation activities. It can be done in full year stays and, exceptionally, in half-year stays.

 

Regulation to create the learning agreement

Students of the Degree in Psychology and of the Degree in Speech Therapy, in accordance with the Mobility Regulations of the Universitat de València, shall include in their Learning Agreement the following number of credits:

ERASMUS and International Program:

- With annual stay: between 36 and 72 ECTS at the University of Valencia.

- With half year stay: between 18 and 36 ECTS at the University of Valencia.

SICUE:

- With annual stay: minimum 45 ECTS at their home university.

- With half year stay: minimum 24 ECTS at their home university.

 

Subjects of any grade level can be selected. Postgraduate courses are not eligible.

Students with a half-year stay cannot take annual subjects.

Students can also choose subjects from other undergraduate studies or degree, but at least 50% of the credits must belong to the degree to which the student has been nominated (Psychology or Speech Therapy).
