The book in Valencia: incunabula of printing, bookbinding and reading

Session dedicated to the universe of books in Valencia during the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries, by leading specialists in the field, from the Complutense University of Madrid, who will present some of the latest research on the subject. An activity organised by the Professor of the Department of History of Science and Documentation of the UV, Nicolás Bas Martín.

Participants are: Antonio Carpallo Bautista, who will address the Arte de la encuadernación en Valencia (Spanish for The artistry of bookbinding in Valencia); José Luis Gonzalo Sánchez-Molero will speak about the Lectura y libros en el Humanismo valenciano entre los siglos XV y XVI (Spanish for Reading and Books in the Valencian Humanism between the 15th and 17th centuries); and Fermín de los Reyes will bring us closer to the La imprenta incunable de Valencia: certezas, dudas y problemas (Spanish for The incunabulum printer in Valencia: Certainties, Doubts and Problems).
