Mary Frankenstein is a free adaptation of Mary Shelley novel, Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus (1818). In this version there are two transgressions: the spawn is a woman and its creator the real monster. Upon receiving the name of Mary, the creature begins to feel more human but her physical causes the rejection of all. Abandoned by her creator and forced to loneliness, the desolation she feels pushes her to anger, as the only way to defend her dignity.
