Cycle organised by Josep Simon (IILP) in collaboration with the SCHCT.

Is science local, global or universal? Are those qualities contradictories or? How different are a local history, national history and universal history? Do they possess objects, approximations, sources or different techniques? Are science histories different from the rest of local or global histories? This cycle of colloquia presents a reflection on the problem of scale in the history of science which emphasises on its theoretical and practical definition, as well as its methodological, professional and civic challenges.
