The Intelligent Data Analysis Laboratory (IDAL) of the University of Valencia has organised the conference Artificial Intelligence. A disruptive change on Wednesday 26. The meeting serves as a presentation of the University-Business Chair, signed by the company Baleària and the academic institution and its axis are the economic, productive, social and human aspects of the AI application.

The conference will be opened by Mavi Mestre, rector of the University of Valencia, and by Adolfo Utor, president of Baleària. It will include a lecture by Professor Emilio Soria on Artificial Intelligence. Also, round tables on the application of these techniques in Medicine (with the companies QIBIM, the research group IDAL and the Santa Bárbara Health company), in the Industry (Capgemini, Everis and Tinámica); and in companies (Plexus, BME, Management Solutions and Orange). In addition, the conference will also include a table on people analytics (with CEPSA, Telefonica and Naturgy).

“If there is a technology that promises to be disruptive, it is Artificial Intelligence. In the last industrial revolution we replaced our ability to do manual work by machines and, with these technologies, we can gradually replace our ability to make decisions and perform cognitive work by algorithms that will be based on these technologies. This means great challenges that must be overcome, as well as great business opportunities that, in times of change, are taken advantage of by those who see the potential of new technologies before anyone else”, has been highlighted from the organisation of the event.
