Cristina Expósito Álvarez, Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Psychology, has been awarded the Second Prize of the Government Delegation against Gender-Based Violence for doctoral theses on violence against women for the year 2025, granted by the Ministry of Equality.

Her thesis, titled “Analysis of risk factors and intervention needs in men with alcohol and other drug use problems convicted of gender-based violence: intervention proposals”, was supervised by Professors Marisol Lila and Enrique Gracia.

In its assessment, the Government Delegation against Gender-Based Violence highlights her methodological rigor and clarity, as well as her contribution to the design and implementation of social intervention programs with perpetrators, helping to eradicate violence against women in intimate relationships.
