The Entreiguals programme is proposed by Universitat de València to facilitate the incorporation into the University, both academically and socially, of new students and exchange students. To this end, this programme, which is managed by the SeDi Information and Promotion Service, links experienced students with new students and facilitates the mentoring action in each centre.

¿What does it mean to be a mentor?

Being a mentor means establishing a relationship of support and accompaniment to new students or incoming students that are assigned by the centre. Mentors, in coordination with the teaching staff responsible for mentoring in each centre, develop the actions planned to promote the academic, personal and social integration of new students, both in their centre and in the University as a whole.

¿What does it mean to have a mentor?

It means having a colleague who provides you all the information and resources of the University and helps you with the doubts, find information, find out how to make use of academic resources, locate classrooms, laboratories and departments, find out how to contact the teaching staff, discover the possibilities of participation and complementary activities, etc. In short, having a mentor helps to avoid or overcome difficulties in your incorporation.
