The Office of the Vice-Principal for Lifelong Learning, Teaching Transformation and Employment is organising, through UVjob and the UV General Foundation, the Employment Forum of the Universitat de València which, on 10 February, will be dedicated to the Health Sciences Area and which will coincide with the closing ceremony of the 11th Biomedical Research Congress that will take place in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry from 8 to 10 February.

The Health Sciences Forum aims to promote the employability of future graduates from the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, Psychology and Speech Therapy, Nursing and Podiatry, and Physiotherapy, connecting students with the employment opportunities offered by the health sector. This year, for the first time, the Degree in Optics and Optometry will also take part in it.

The talks will take place in different spaces of the Blasco Ibáñez Campus, such as the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, and the Dental Clinic of the Lluís Alcanyís Foundation, according to the programme. Meanwhile, the participating companies/entities will set up their stands at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.), which will also host the welcome ceremony, scheduled at 11:30 a.m. in the Main Hall.

More than thirty companies and entities will participate, including Fundació València Activa, LABORA-GVA, Alain Afflelou optical stores, SAVIA Centros Residenciales, the Official College of Opticians-Optometrists of the Valencian Community (COOCV), the Genotipia platform and the IMED Hospitales group; as well as organisations specialising in the field of health, NGOs, public and state administrations, and university research chairs.

The Forum is aimed at undergraduate and master's degree students, who will be able to:

- get closer to the reality and business culture of the sector,

- obtain crucial information for their decision making with regard to their professional insertion

- and directly interact with their future employers.

For their part, the participating entities will be able to:

- meet and make contact with highly qualified profiles,

- position themselves as a company that seeks out and values talent

- and identify themselves as companies committed to the development of our society.
