This week the XpeCAM workshop was held at the Analysis and Diagnosis Laboratory of the Faculty of Geography and History, focused on current technology for obtaining spectral images, widely used in the study and active and preventive conservation of works of art. It has been taught by specialists from the company XpectralTEK (Portugal), which is dedicated to the creation and optimization of tools focused on diagnostic imaging, widely used in European research teams dedicated to Artistic Diagnosis as a way to study, preserve prevention and quality dissemination of Cultural Heritage. The initiative has been promoted within the framework of the Optimization of a Multiband Spectral System of Artistic Diagnosis project focused on the implementation of innovative, sustainable and accessible Museum Itineraries: towards a Cultural Tourism in the key of Science, Inclusion and Well-Being applied to great Art Galleries (IDIFEDER 2021-2022/076), and professors, researchers and doctoral students from the Department of Art History and the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the University of Valencia have participated.
