On October 26 and 27, the Seminar “The Spain that had a white soul” will be held at the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Valencia. Race and nation in the first decades of the 20th century.

The meeting is organized by two research projects linked to the Faculty's Contemporary History Area and will feature specialists from different universities.

The Seminar aims to reflect on the role of the racial issue in Spanish national identity, especially in the first decades of the 20th century. XX, taking into account the processes of racialization of certain groups, the role of intellectual and scientific sectors, as well as mass culture.

The meeting, coordinated by Marta García Carrión and Elena Solbes, will take place in the Faculty Board Room and attendance is open to all interested people.
