An initiative for university students to get involved and educated with the importance of blood donations, a riskless gesture that saves lives.

Around the university campuses, promoting students wearing a red jacket will explain how blood donation functions and disperse myths about it. An educational conference has been organised by the Valencian Communitu Transfussion Centre and the SEDI.

The Week for Promoting Blood Donation precedes three special donation days:

• December 2, Tarongers campus: Faculty of Economics and Mobile Blood Bank at Aulari Sud.
• December 3, Blasco Ibáñez campus: Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, and Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences.
• December 4, Burjassot campus: Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Science, and Eduard Boscà Science Library.

Donation hours will be from 9:30 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:30.

The Week for Promoting Blood Donation is an initiative of the Student Delegation, organized by Sedi – the Student Information and Support Service, in collaboration with the Valencian Community Transfusion Center (CTCV).
