The next 28 and 29 October will be held in the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of València the Conference Cinephilias in feminine. Women and cinema in Spain ”. Directed by Professor Marta García Carrión (Department of Modern and Contemporary History), these sessions will serve to share and discuss research focused on women's relations and the world of cinema in Spain. The Conference is structured in four sessions that will delve into the active role of women in the development of cinematography in Spain and, in turn, the importance of the world of cinema in the construction of imaginaries of femininity in the last century. In addition, there will be a guest lecture by Barbara ecchi, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The Conference is organized by the research project GV / 2020/033, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Geography and History.
