Academic, scientific or professional interest: The objective of this Master’s Degree is the multidisciplinary training specialised in the area of neurosciences, making easier the acquisition of conceptual and technical tools for understanding and address the study of the nervous system, both normal as well as pathological, and its interactions with other systems such as the endocrine system or the immune system. It pursues that students learn the different levels of neural processing, from the molecular level to the systems level, and its relation with the behaviour, cognition and emotion, as well as the nature of the alterations that cause pathologies and dysfunctions, so that the competences acquired to the research can be applied, being either in the area of biology, psychology or in biomedicine. The critical spirit and scientific rigour will be encouraged; taking in account at all times the training of the student in the ethical and social values of equality, respect and democracy.
