The Senate is the highest representative body of the Universitat de València. The Senate is composed by: the Principal, who presides it, the General Secretary, who fulfils the same role in the Senate, the General Manager, and 300 members chosen in accordance with the following distribution 153 members of the doctor teaching staff, 38 members of the non-publicly contracted staff or non-doctor teaching and research staff, 75 students members, 4 members of research interns and 30 members of administration and services staff.
