Biography

Pedro Morillo received the M.S. degree (1998) in Computer Engineering from the University of Valencia (Spain) and the Ph.D. (2004), from the same university, with a dissertation about "Improving the Performance in Distributed Virtual Environments", receiving the Doctoral School PhD Extraordinary Award. Currently, Dr. Morillo is an Associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, at the University of Valencia (Spain). Furthermore, his research addresses distributed VR/AR environments systems, advanced human-system interfaces, and the Multimodal Man-machine Interface (MMI) for telemedicine and industrial applications.

He served also as Visiting Scientist at Iowa State University (Ames, IO, USA) in 2004, University of Louisiana (Lafayette, LA, USA) in 2006, CAU Chung-Ang University University (Seoul, Korea) in 2009 and University of Arkansas (Little Rock, AR, USA) in 2017, where he maintains a research affiliation.

From 2015 to the present, he holds different university positions related to the promotion and management of postgraduate studies, as well as the institutional online strategy.
