Biography

Inés Tomás Marco is Professor in the Department of Methodology of the Behavioral Sciences at the University of Valencia. She has a PhD in social psychology and work and organizational psychology, and she is member of the IDOCAL (Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organizational Development, and Quality of Working Life). She has published numerous research studies in the discipline in books and international scientific journals such as: Accident, Analysis & Prevention; International Journal of Testing; Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology; Journal of Safety Research; Journal of Vocational Behaviour; Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology; Risk Analysis; Safety Science; Structural Equation Modeling: A multidisciplinary Journal; The Service Industries Journal, etc. She collaborates in different research projects about topics such as demographic diversity and work teams’ performance, safety behavior in high reliability organizations, leadership, organizational climate, employability and overqualification, job quality, and managing and preventing careless responding. In the field of methodology, her main research interests focus on test validity and test fairness, the study of differential item functioning (DIF), and how to improve the quality of data in the field of psychological research by preventing and managing careless responding. She is member of the Advisory Board of Methodology, the official organ of the European Association of Methodology (EAM).
