Descripció de l'activitat investigadora:
The Group of Information and Communication Systems (GSIC) at Universitat de València (UVEG) was created in December 2005 with the following three-fold mission: - To perform both theoretical and applied research of high impact - To provide advanced postgraduate education at an international level - To perform an effective technology transfer of high quality to established, SME and start-up companies. The main fields that are covered by GSIC are the following ones: - General Signal and Information Processing: Sampling and efficient signal representation, Oversampled A/D conversion, design and application of wavelet filter banks, frames, robust signal classification, statistical inference and online big data analytics. - De-centralized Communications and Processing for Wireless Networks: distributed source-channel coding for wireless networks, decentralized routing and MAC algorithms, network correlated data-gathering, co-operative processing and in-network inference under communication constraints, MIMO systems, cognitive-radios, computation over channels, heterogeneous networks - Analysis, Design and Deployment of heterogeneous Sensor Networks optimized for different applications -...The Group of Information and Communication Systems (GSIC) at Universitat de València (UVEG) was created in December 2005 with the following three-fold mission: - To perform both theoretical and applied research of high impact - To provide advanced postgraduate education at an international level - To perform an effective technology transfer of high quality to established, SME and start-up companies. The research activity of the group has generated over 100 high-impact publications, including first rank journal papers and a large number of CORE conference papers, with acceptance rates below 20%. Design, Coordination and Participation in the International Master on Advanced Sciences of Modern Telecommunicaitons, ( http://www.uv.es/mscasmt ) with support from internationally recognized institutions, such as MIT, Berkeley, Stanford, USC, Princeton, UCLA, EPFL, TUM, Telefónica and Alcatel-Lucent, among others.
