On 21 March we celebrated the first day of the 20th anniversary of the University Institute of Social Economy, Cooperativism and Entrepreneurship. A day where we remembered the beginnings of the research institute, its history, achievements, projects and trajectory in social economy research.

The inauguration was attended by Mª Vicenta Mestre Escrivá, Rector of the University of Valencia; the Director of IUDESCOOP, María José Vañó; Javier Palao Gil, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Francisco Muñoz Murgui, Dean of the Faculty of Economics. We also had the presence of the Director General of entrepreneurship and cooperativism Teresa García Muñoz.

On the first day we witnessed the conversation between Professor José Luis Monzón and the Director General of entrepreneurship and cooperativism Teresa García Muñoz, who spoke about the diversification of cooperativism, training policies and strategies for the growth of the social economy.

The closing ceremony was led by the director of IUDESCOOP, María José Vañó, together with the director of CONCOVAL, Emili Villaescusa, who recognised and highlighted the work of the Institute for the social economy and cooperatives.
